Regionals

Well, our boys played 8 hours of baseball on Friday night. They won 2 out of 3 games and secured their place as the 3rd seed going into the Regional Tourny next weekend. We have one regular season game left on Monday in Gurdon. We will then go back to Gurdon next weekend, the 3rd for the Regional. Right now it looks like we will play on Sat. at 2:30. I'll let you know what happens and where we go from there after that game!

A bad Monday

Well, Monday morning I took Cantley back to the dr. Her RSV is still not completely gone. Although she is not contagious, her lungs are still wheezing. We are back on breathing treatments 5 times a day and will be on steriods until June. If you have ever seen a 3 yr. old on roids it is not always fun. The mood swings are miserable and the highs are off the chart. We are hoping she will settle in with them again after a few more days and things will get better.

Now to the ballgames. We had high hopes going into the game that we could and should win. Well , it was over in the 5th and we got 10 runned. It was not pretty and our boys acted like they wanted to go home after the 1st inning. Now we have 3 games to play on Friday night. Prescott first at 4:00 then 2 against Bismark after that. It will be a long night! We have to get up for our school 5K the next morning and have our JV banquet that night. This should be an interesting weekend!

A few more wins...

Sorry I am behind on ballgames. We beat Horatio last MOnday night 10-5. It was a good game and our boys played it out until the end. On Sat. night we played Centerpoint in a double header and won both. We did however loose our first baseman to a broken leg during the game. We are still waiting to find out if he will need surgery.

Tomorrow we will play Lafayette County at home, Prescott possibly on Wed. or Fri. and a make-up with Bismark one of the days we don't play Prescott. Our last conference game will be next Monday at Gurdon and if all goes well, we'll be in regional play the weekend of May 3-6 in Horatio. One win there will get us to the State tourny in Holly Springs. We will keep you posted!

Sick again...

Well, CAntley spent Friday night after her playdate hacking up mucus. Sorry that is gross, but it's what happened. We went on to Crossett to visit family and had a great trip. She had another episode luckily while my Aunt Linda was there (who is an RN) and she heard wheezing her in chest again. We will go back to the dr. in the morning and I will update from there.

A new friend

Cantley has made another new friend. One of my girlfriends had her neice over the weekend and they came over the play on Friday night. We got pizza and took the girls for ice cream. As you can see they had a lot of dress up fun!

Haircut

Jonathan got a new haircut. It is very interesting. Cantley said it was cool. Mom is still out on what she thinks. Let us know what you think and if he should keep it or not!

New Neighbor

I would like to introduce you all to our new neighbor. We will be keeping track of her and her soon to grow family. Yes-this is right outside our bedroom. It should get interesting when the new babies arrive!

More dancing

Enjoy!

Peddling

Jonathan have worked with Cantley a billion times trying to get her to try to peddle. She would put her feet on the peddles and barely push and get off. The other day our neighbors grandaughter that Cantley really likes was riding her bike all over the street. Cantley got on her tricylce and took off! She let it roll down the hill and didn't look back. Here is our proof and proud moment.

A little video

Well, we have gotten some good video lately. Cantley and Daddy have perfected their dancing with the stars moves and Cantley made some great funny faces. Be on the look out by tomorrow for her video of peddling. She has finally gotten it down. Enjoy! **Don't forget to turn off the music! She even sings a little Jungle Book for you on one!

Catching up...

Well, here are several updates all at once. I had a little time tonight to get things caught up. They are in backwards order if you are reading top down. If you want to start in order, go down to the post about Jackson turning 2. Thanks for checking up on us everyone and for keeping up with this crazy ride. I definitely think we named the blog right after the past few weeks.

Getting back to normal

After a long week, we got back home on Sat. morning from being with family. I don't have any pictures of Cantley and Kason, but hopefully Katrina will get some on her blog. Cantley was eaten up with her little baby cousin. I have to say that JOnathan and I were, too. We only wish we could have spent more than a few hours with him on this trip. Hopefully we'll see him again soon!

Tonight at home, Cantley was a little wired. She is still on breathing treatments and the steroids get her crazy. She was dancing and all the sudden broke out in the hammer dance. Enjoy the video! You will have to stop the music to hear her say, "Stop, Hammer time".

A hail of a day

Well, after much loss, we had more hail on Monday night. Jonathan couldn't sleep and was awake to know that we had a tornado coming toward our house. Luckily it never touched down, but it did drop some major hail on our house. It wasn't as much as the pictures before, but it was MUCH bigger. We got golf ball sized hail that did just over $2000 worth of damage to Jonathan's truck and will require us to get a new roof.
I put my key up beside it so you could try to see how large it was. I guess a golf ball would have been good to use, huh? We did get everyone in the hallway and covered up by pillows and blankets. When it all started hitting the house we started praying, crying and praying somemore. We are thankful that there was no major damage and that all of our friends and family are safe-including those in Benton/Bryant!

Another loss...

Our ball team lost a conference game last Monday night to Lafayette County. Really, we should have won. Don't know what happened besides more errors. They made a big comeback, but still lost by one run. Then on Wed. they lost to Bradley-non-conference and totally beatable in a horrible 6-2 final. Jonathan and I ran over to the game after Gram's funeral only to end a bad day even worse. We got rained out on Friday and will reschedule that for next Fri. We play Fouke on Monday at home. Hopefully we won't give up another win.

Goodbye Gram

On Monday Jonathan's grandmother "Gram" passed away. She fought hard for many years, over 15 against Alzheimer’s. She was very well taken care of by her husband and Jonathan's grandfather Virgil and Jonathan's mother Susan. She is resting now. We'll all miss you! Cantley will miss her ice cream the most.

Hail, Hail go away...

Well, Sat. night the 29th of March, we awoke to hail. We ran like bandits across our house to get to Cantley. We waited about 10 minutes before it was over and then took these!

Jackson is 2!

Well, my precious nephew Jackson just turned 2! His birthday was a lot of fun. He and Cantley really enjoy each other and got to play and run and be silly. It was a great day. Enjoy these pictures. I have some other wonderful ones that Mike took and I will try to get them on here later.
